How it splits
You give ranges (say, 1–3 and 4–10) or a chunk size (every 5 pages), and each range is copied into its own new document on your device. The originals' page content is copied untouched — no recompression, no quality change.
What the receipt tells you
Whatever cannot survive the copy — bookmarks whose targets fall outside a range, links to pages that are now in a different file — is listed per output file. Dead links are a real cost of splitting, and you should hear about them from the tool, not from the person you sent the file to.
Questions people actually ask
- Can I split by page ranges?
- Yes — give one or more inclusive ranges, and each becomes its own file. Or give a chunk size and the document is cut every N pages.
- Does splitting reduce quality?
- No. Pages are copied as-is into the new files.
- Is the file uploaded to be split?
- No. The split happens in your browser and the pieces are handed straight back.
