What deletion touches
Only the named pages are removed; the remaining pages are copied through untouched. As with every page operation here, the receipt lists what didn't survive — a bookmark that pointed at a deleted page, a link that now has no destination — because those are real consequences and you should hear them from the tool.
Deleting is not redacting
Worth saying once, plainly: deleting a page removes that page. It does not scrub what other pages, metadata, or attachments may say about the same subject. If what you actually need is for certain content to be irrecoverable, that is Redact's job.
Questions people actually ask
- Can I undo a deletion?
- Your original file is never modified — the tool hands you a new file with the pages removed. Keep the original and you have your undo.
- What happens to links pointing at deleted pages?
- They can’t work anymore, and the receipt says so explicitly rather than leaving you to find out later.
- Is anything uploaded?
- No — removal happens in your browser.
