Your pixels stay your pixels
A JPEG goes into the PDF as that same JPEG; a PNG as that same PNG. The tool wraps your images in pages — it does not decode and re-encode them, so no second generation of compression loss rides along. If you want the result smaller, run it through Compress afterwards, where the trade is made openly and governed.
Orientation
Phone photos carry an orientation flag, and the tool honors it — a picture taken upright comes out upright, without the pixels being rewritten.

- Will my photos be compressed when they become a PDF?
- No. Images are embedded as-is. Any size/quality trade is Compress’s job, made explicitly, not a side effect here.
- What formats can I add?
- JPEG and PNG at launch.
- Are my photos uploaded?
- No — the PDF is assembled in your browser.
